Hello all :)
My poor blog has been put on the back burner since school let out!! Getting on the Internet on my computer isn't so easy while at my house (we still don't have wireless, so it involves a lot of unplugging wires from my moms computer lol). And with work starting back up, ugh, no time for anything, not even my coupon clipping :( I'm so far behind, can you tell?!
But it's totally worth it! I don't really buy groceries anymore because I'm back living with my parents instead of my apartment at school, but my boyfriend has to buy groceries now for his new house.
The other day he needed groceries, and with the combination of my coupons and our giant eagle food perks, he saved over $25!!! And the other day I got him a pack of 80 pieces of trident white gum for $1.96, that's cheap for that much gum!! And it was all because of a coupon lol. Now I don't think I'll ever be like those people on extreme couponing, but sometimes it is worth it to clip them to save some money.
Well, back to clipping my coupons. Hopefully this post turned out okay, tried it from my phone.
Happy blogging everyone and enjoy the warm weather :)

Red Hot Chicken and Flowers :)
Weekend posts are going to be my weak point....never enough time to get on the computer and write one lol
On Friday, I decided to make my boyfriend Chris lunch at his house. We both LOVE Gibble's Red Hot Potato Chips (if you love hot stuff, you HAVE to try these!)
So I found a recipe for Potato Chip Chicken but instead of using regular chips, I decided to use Red Hots.
Now, I'm not much of a cook (what am I saying, I don't cook at all), so this was quite an adventure for me. The recipe was really easy and the entire house smelt like garlic. YUMMM :)
To my surprise, the chicken turned out really well, and it wasn't hard to cook. Chris liked it, so that's always a plus lol. But we did have trouble with the baked potatoes. :/ I kept getting scared that they were going to explode in the microwave because they were making noises.
The chicken was actually better the next day, it was just a weird color because of all the seasonings from the chips. But it was mighty tasty :) On Saturday, I worked 8-4, and my car is currently missing some parts and is out of inspection, so my dad doesn't want me running it all over the place. So Chris had to pick me up from work.
I have NEVER gotten flowers as a surprise and for a "get because" reason. They have always either been from my parents for graduation or from Chris on Valentine's Day because I flat out told him I wanted some.
Well I opened the truck door, and much to my surprise, there was Chris, holding a beautiful bouquet of flowers and a card.
The whole 25 minute ride back to his house, I couldn't stop smiling. :D Only problem, when we got to his house, we had no vase. So, a Mountain Dew bottle served the purpose.

Throwback Thursday
Howdy all :)
So from looking at different blogs, I have decided to link up with Monica for Throwback Thursday! :)

For my throwback picture, I decided to go old, old school!
Myrtle Beach, around 1993 (could be 1994) |
This is me during my family's annual Myrtle Beach vacation. Unfortunately, we haven't had a trip there since I was in middle school (and I'm 21 now, so you do the math!).
I thought this picture would work perfectly for today, because here in PA, it is a very hot 86 degrees!
It's quite depressing looking out my apartment window :(

Recycled Windows
So I am OBSESSED with old windows!!! There are just so adorable! My lovely boyfriend got me one for my birthday and I am so excited to finish decorating it!! He got it at our local indoor flea market for $10.
Okay, so yea it needs a little work, but hopefully by the time Chris and I are done with it, it will look something like this:
I am making mine so 3 panes are on the top and 3 on the bottom. The top 3 will be left alone, and the bottom 3 are getting black chalkboard paint, pictures, and cork board pieces.
I'll make sure to post pictures once we have our final product.
I also can't wait because Chris' mom, Jen, is having a friend of hers make me a table out of an old window for my late birthday present.
I am so excited to put it in Chris' new house (and soon to be mine as well, only 1 more year!!!!)
No doubt, when Chris and I get married, we WILL have old windows as decorations. You can do so much with them and they give that old rustic vibe.
So remember, don't look at things as them being old and worn, look at them in a way that makes you think, 'What could I do with this?'

I'm on a Boat!
ahhhhhh I need a good foot massage right about now!!
My college offered a night on the Gateway Clipper tonight for $5! Even my broke college self can afford that! Unfortunately, all 6 of my friends were supposed to go, but the tickets got sold out :( So it was my friends Chelsea and Morgan, and myself.
Here are some pictures from the night:
(by the way, the dress that I had on was borrowed from my friend Morgan, but I secretly wanted to keep it. I LOVED it!!! :D)
We had a blast dancing the night away. It was so nice to have an evening to forget about school work and get all fancied-up. Chelsea and I even wore fake eyelashes :)
I'm not sure how girls can wear heels ALL the time though! My feet are killing me :( As well as my legs from dancing so much. Guess that was my workout for the week ;) lol
So off to bed for me. Looking forward to a day completely devoted to homework tomorrow: NOT! :/
Sleep tight :D
